Snubber Capacitors from WIMA
Development of the WIMA Snubber MKP and WIMA Snubber FKP capacitor series for high power conversion is based on decades of experience with Polypropylene pulse capacitors.
WIMA Snubber capacitors are available both as double-sided metallized pulse version - WIMA Snubber MKP - and for extremely high pulse ratings in self-healing film/foil technology - WIMA Snubber FKP. Their electrical performance as well as the manifold number of available connecting options makes the WIMA Snubber technology unique:
- Plates soldered directly to the schoopage for safe contacts at high rms currents
- Low inductance construction achieved by end-surface contacts
- High pulse reliability due to double-sided metallization and/or film/foil construction

GTO Capacitors from WIMA
WIMA GTO MKP capacitors are especially designed to attenuate voltage spikes on GTO (Gate-Turn-Off) Thyristors and IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor). They are manufactured in dry-type technology with a dielectric of metallized polypropylene film and encapsulated in a cylindrical plastic case sealed with self-extinguishing polyurethane resin. Their construction creates outstanding features, e.g.:

Intermediate Circuit Capacitors (DC Link Caps) from WIMA
WIMA DC-LINK MKP 4 capacitors are especially designed for applications in high power converter technology where due to increasing electrical requirements they are more and more substituting electrolytic capacitors. Manufactured with a low loss polypropylene dielectric they show a higher current carrying capability as well as lower dissipation/self-heating at high frequencies compared to electrolytic capacitors. Super Capacitors From WIMA
The Double Layer Capacitors developed by WIMA are storage capacitors with highest capacitance values in the Farad range. They are among others suited to serve as batteries, can deliver considerably higher currents for a short time, however, and are maintenance free.
The construction of a Double Layer Capacitor can be described as a plate capacitor where the most important topic is to obtain electrodes with an extremely large surface. For this purpose activated carbon is ideally suited, as it allows to obtain capacitance values of up to 100F/g of the active mass of the electrode.
The electrolyte, the conductive liquid between the electrodes, is a conducting salt dissolved in an aqueous or organic solvent which permits to apply voltages of 2 V (in special cases 3 V).
The actual double layer consists from ions which attach to the electrodes - negative ions to the positive electrode and positive ions to the negative electrode - as soon as a voltage is applied to the cell and thus create a dielectric of a few Angstrom only. According to the formula for the capacitor from the dielectric constant of the double layer (approx. 10) and the extremely thin dielectric you get an very high capacitance value. Self-Locking Bolt Systems from Nord-Lock
The NORD-LOCK bolt securing system uses geometry to safely lock bolted joints in the most critical applications.
This unique wedge-locking system offers the following advantages:

Tension makes the bolt self-locking
The key is the difference in angles. Since the cam angle " α " is larger than the thread pitch " β ", the pair of washers expand more than the corresponding pitch of the thread. NORD-LOCK washers positively lock the fastener in a joint which is subjected to extreme vibration or dynamic loads.

Latching Relays by Gigavac

Graphic operating overlays have been a matter of course for a long time. An obvious consequence is to type what we want straight onto the display or screen.
The resisitive touch screens from Hoffmann + Krippner consist of transparent, conductive, cushioned layers. Even light touching of the screen surface triggers the operating function. A small controller unit monitors the touch screen and relays the key actuation.

SENSOTOUCH, the innovative touch sensitive controller: Stepless. Clean. Accurate. By Hoffman + Krippner
Hoffmann + Krippner’s SENSOTOUCH is a freely controllable and programmable tri-axis resistive sensor controller with a variety of different applications. SENSOTOUCH consists of two resistance sheets that are imprinted perpendicular to one another. Through use of a special resistance paste, the third dimension (Z-Level) can also be utilised.
This innovative technology is also available as a hand-operated membrane potentiometer with a digital signal ("Set-function") which can be activated through a slightly increased operating force.
Regarding shape, area and design, SENSOTOUCH offers completely new options to the product designer, as not only square, but also round, oval or even triangular input areas can be realised. This enables whole new applications that were not possible before.
Individually printable surfaces also maximise flexibility as well as individuality for customer-specific use.

SENSOFOIL: Ultra-flat membrane potentiometer as linear and circular sensors by Hoffman and Krippner
Flat, wear-free and hermetically sealed: the Sensofoil membrane sensors from Hoffmann + Krippner represent the ideal functional level for linear and rotational potentiometers and sensors.
Due to their flat design of 0.5 mm to 1 mm and their simple adaptation to customer requirements, Sensofoil® membrane potentiometers from Hoffmann + Krippner are the ideal solution for restricted installation conditions.
The technical specifications of the Sensofoil® membrane potentiometers correspond to those of conventional precision potentiometers or even surpass these. They offer an attractive cost advantage and are easy to use.
Standard elements of 50 mm to 500 mm are available, as well as very favourably priced customer-specific variations, In particular the good repeat accuracy, the easy to achieve redundancy and the problem-free integration represent decisive advantages.
Sensofoil® follows the shape and function of the specific application: linear, circular or customer-specific shapes are available, on request also with non-contact connection.
Depending on various parameters, the service life comprises 1 million cycles to 60 million cycles and the repeat accuracy 1 mm to 10 µm. The standard products are sealed to IP 65.

Ultrasonic Sensors
Ultrasonic Sensors are non-contacting sensors that use High Frequency sound waves as the detection medium. The time Differential from time sent to time received after being bounced back from the detection object determines the distance from or presence of the object. Ultrasonic sensors are uninfluenced by differences in color and internal circuitry provides correction from variations in surface texture or material hardness. This type of sensor is suitable for many applications such as the non-contact detection of transparent materials (glass, plastic, films), surface detection of high-speed rolls (paper or steel production) and bin levels (liquids, grains, etc) to name a few.
